What is a safety arm?
A Safety Arms is a solid mounted device that is found on our Cantilever Rack that is used to prevent items from falling off row ends and to prevent a “domino” effect when placed
periodically throughout the length of a shelf level.
For Example: If couches are stacked on their ends and one fell over, it could cause the entire row to fall over, and in turn, greatly increase the likelihood of product being pushed off a shelf and into a pedestrian aisle or order picker aisle.
What is the advantage to adding safety arms to me racking system?
- Prevents product from falling from the rack which protects employees
- Aids in reduction of product damage
- Added safety precaution which could save you a workers compensation claim
- Stops the “domino” effect down a rack row
- Provides extra support and constraints in the rack so that upholstery is not leaning or falling off shelves
- Provides a physical barrier for associates trying to store product trying to store product overhanging off the ends of the rack
