Obituary

Mr. Lindler passed away Monday, May 30, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Howard Franklin Lindler and Betty Whiteside Boyle. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1976 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was proudly accepted in the Air Force Academy. Mr. Lindler was the founder, owner, and CEO of USSI, and was known to be a visionary in his career. He was a highly regarded furniture retail operations expert. He was a member of many organizations. Mr. Lindler was a Mason, a member of the Knights Templar and S.A.R. He enjoyed fine dining, traveling, and mentoring many people.

He is survived by his son, Billy Franklin Lindler, Jr. (Gretchen); daughters, Elissa Lindler (Antonio Gachupin) and Jill Lamb Engstrom (John); step-daughter, Layla Sheppard; sisters, Debra Spencer (Walter) and Teresa May; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Jack and Myrtle Bouknight.
