Project Manager

Job Summary: Will act as the company’s on-site manager and representative to efficiently and cost effectively manage all aspects of the installation of customer projects in a manner that meets customer’s objectives while maintaining excellent customer relations. Position requires roughly 60% travel. Company pays 100% of benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision) for Employee AND Family!

Job Duties:
· Conducting site surveys and visits as required to determine the scope of the work and to facilitate project and installation planning.
· Reviewing AutoCAD drawings of material handling and office systems for completeness and correctness to ensure the integrity of a proper installation.
· Identify and plan for the resources required for the successful installation of company projects, IE: labor, equipment, tools, hardware, etc.
· Obtain pricing; negotiate and coordinate all costs for subcontractor’s services, and/or the direct costs of all rental equipment, labor, tools, vehicles, and travel expenses associated with installation of company’s projects.
· Develop operational budgets and schedules for company projects.
· Develop material or parts list and proposals or quotations for all.
· Work with client, architect, construction contractor, sprinkler contractor, and company vendors and subcontractors to develop project schedules and Microsoft Project timelines.
· Act as Company’s sole on site manager and customer liaison for project duration.

Requirements:
· College Degree or Equivalent Experience
· 2+ Years of Project Management, preferably in a construction, installation, or distribution environment
· Strong Communication Skills
· Experience with Project Management Software
· Proficient in MS Office Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
· Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally 60% of the time with extended periods of time spent at project location
· English/Spanish bilingual a plus

Industrial Engineer

Job Summary: The Industrial Engineer supports USSI and client goals through effective and efficient data collection, analysis, reports, facility design, presentations, and project management. This role is customer facing and requires strong organization and presentation skills. An Industrial Engineering education with an interest in warehousing and logistics is the minimum educational criteria, but other supply chain
degrees will be considered (especially with applicable experience). The engineer will engage with customers to design both new warehouses and suggest operational improvements for existing warehouses. Company pays 100% of benefits (Medical, Dental and Vision) for Employee AND Family!

Job Duties:
·Responsible for all aspects of warehouse design including operation al assessments of existing client operations, recommendations to improve current operations, and new facility design.
·Projects include data collection, data analysis, material handling system design, warehouse layout, report preparation, proposal development and presentations.
·Detailed engineering will be performed to provide the most cost-effective solution to meet the client’s strategic business requirements.

Requirements:
·Industrial Engineering Bachelor’s Degree with some experience specifically in warehouse design and layout. Experience could be from educational projects; internship, and/or fulltime employment.
·Strong Project Management skills required.
·Technical strengths with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams) and AutoCAD.

Co-Op/Intern

To provide support to the company’s engineering and technical efforts, resulting in the successful achievement of project, corporate, and client objectives.

  • Works with project engineer, assist in the analysis of data gathered during facility and operational audits to develop scope of work and identify process flow, ensuring technical information is effectively shared between all parties to ensure efficient and effective completion of work.
  • Prepare, type, and organize written engineering and technical reports, photos, drawings, timelines, etc. required for client presentation package.
  • Assists in reviewing architectural and structural drawings provided by client to ensure integrity of the company’s AutoCAD drawings.
  • Assists in creating AutoCAD drawings based on programming and data analysis, which present effective solutions to clients and company’s objectives, including plans, rack layout, sprinkler plans, installation drawings, product engineering drawings, and modular furniture plans.
  • Assists in developing accurate project materials, parts lists from AutoCAD plan views and elevations, which adhere to proper structural and design requirements.
  • Works with company engineers and selected vendors to develop special application solutions for client when required and prepare specialty or detail drawings if necessary.
  • Communicate with client, vendors, and contractors to ensure that project information is accurate, valid, and complete and to ensure the integrity of work being completed.
